On the Topic of Evolution

Scientists recently completed the “first comprehensive comparison of the genetic blueprints of humans and chimpanzees.” If the creationists are right, and God made man in his image, he made chimps pretty damn close, as “our closest living relatives share perfect identity with 96 percent of our DNA sequence.”

The project was led by Scientists from MIT’s Broad Institute, whose Web page I quote above. The Web page also claims that the study “provides unambiguous confirmation of the common and recent evolutionary origin of human and chimpanzees, as first predicted by Charles Darwin in 1871.”
